Karachi's park has become a graveyard of government vehicles worth crores of rupees

Sindh government’s silence on these vehicles worth crores of rupees is surprising

Karachi: Shahr Quaid’s park was turned into a graveyard of government vehicles worth crores of rupees.

Vehicles used by government officers and employees started rotting in the sun in a dilapidated condition. Hundreds of new and valuable vehicles belonging to various departments of the Sindh government are present at KDA Park Clifton and the silence of the Sindh government on these vehicles worth crores of rupees is surprising.

At KDA Park Clifton, around 250 vehicles worth millions of rupees are covered in dust, including expensive vehicles like BMW, Land Cruiser, Prado. 75% of these vehicles rotting under the open sky belong to the SGA & CD department.

About 25 percent of the vehicles in the government vehicle graveyard belong to the Department of Education, Health, Local Government and Works and Services. Sources say that since many years in Sindh, the record of valuable government vehicles has not been compiled.
