Peshawar: In Charsadda, the electricity thief tortured an elderly Pesco employee who came for recovery.
The Pesco team was conducting an operation to stop electricity theft and recover recovery in Nasta sub-division Padang village, during which a person tortured an elderly Pesco employee. The electricity thief did not consider the age of the elderly Pesco official, nor his white beard, and slapped his head.
According to the spokesman, the PESCO team had gone to collect the arrears from the accused Hasam Bacha son of Kamal Bacha. During surveillance, the accused was also found involved in electricity theft. On being caught red-handed, the accused became enraged and tortured the Pesco official.
The Pesco Chief requested the Deputy Commissioner and DPO Charsadda to take notice of the incident, following which the police registered an FIR against the accused and arrested him.
