Sanction of inquiry against officers/personnel of Sukkur Forest Department and others
National Accountability Bureau Sukkur has transferred 1094 acres of forest land worth 1,312.80 million rupees to 57 influential people in Taluk Nara of Sukkur district.
According to the instructions issued by the Sindh High Court Sukkur Bench to Chairman NAB and DG NAB Sukkur in CP No. 1115/2009, NAB Sukkur investigated the cases of encroachment on forest land, illegal allotment and illegal changes in records. In this regard, inquiry was approved against officers/personnel of Sukkur Forest Department and others.
During detailed enquiry, relevant records regarding illegal allotment of forest land in favor of influential persons were obtained from Revenue Department and Forest Department.
NAB Sukkur took steps to hand over forest land to all concerned federal and Sindh government departments.
As a result of the tireless efforts of NAB Sukkur, 1094 acres of forest land worth Rs 1,312.80 million was transferred from 57 influential people in Taluk Nara of Sukkur district.
The revenue authorities have canceled allotment entries which were earlier allotted in favor of private individuals and the said forest land has now been entered in the record of rights in the name of the Forest Department, Government of Sindh.
