Peshawar: The suspect who killed the Edwards College student was killed by his co-accused during a police encounter.
According to the police, the accused who killed a college student during an operation in the limits of Rehman Baba police station was killed in a police encounter. The police raided Shahswar’s residence, the accused in the Edwards College student murder case, to arrest the other accused, where the accused opened fire indiscriminately on seeing the police party.

During the firing on the police by the accused, retaliatory firing was also done. As a result of the cross firing on this occasion, the accused Shaheswar was hit by the firing of his co-accused and died on the spot while a policeman was hit by 2 bullets, but he was safe because of his bullet proof jacket.
According to SSP Operations Kashif Aftab Abbasi, the police vehicle was also hit by several bullets during the encounter. The accused escaped by taking advantage of the darkness of the night and densely populated area. Later, Shaheswar’s body was shifted to the hospital for post-mortem.
A heavy police force has reached the spot and started a large-scale search operation in the area to find the accused.
