The hearing on the request to increase the price of electricity for the second time in the same quarterly adjustment for Karachi has been completed.
Nepra has heard a request for a further increase of Rs 3.02 per unit for electricity consumers. K Electric has sought the increase in terms of quarterly adjustments from April to June 2023.
According to Nepra officials, if K Electric gives its position to the authority, further work will be done. On the other hand, during the hearing, the city of Karachi came down on the request for increase in electricity prices.
According to the consumers of Karachi, the business stopped due to the daily increase in electricity prices. The Nepra Authority completed the hearing after hearing the stand of the consumers. According to Nepra officials, a decision regarding prices will be taken after analyzing the data.
