World Cup;  Fakhar Zaman injured before the match against Australia

Before the match against Australia in the ICC World Cup, the national team suffered another setback.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed that opener Fakhar Zaman will not be available for the October 20 match against Australia in Bengaluru.

Out-of-form Fakhar Raman may not be included in the playing XI due to a knee injury but is expected to be available for selection by next week.

On the other hand, opener Abdullah Shafiq was stopped from unnecessary meetings by the team management due to viral fever, he is currently suffering from symptoms of fever and flu, however, he is taking precautionary measures to prevent the possible spread of the disease.

Earlier, the national team had participated in the practice session yesterday to prepare for the match against Australia, but even on this occasion, the opener did not join the Pakistani team.

Fast bowlers Shaheen Afridi and Usama Mir were also suffering from fever symptoms but they have now recovered.

It should be remembered that yesterday the Pakistani team had changed its plan regarding training, first it was decided not to train, then the news regarding fitness problems started circulating, then the board said that the players are suffering from viral fever.
