Quetta: Caretaker Information Minister Balochistan John Achakzai has said that the data of foreigners has been collected by the Special Branch, according to which the number of unregistered Afghan refugees in the province is two and a half lakh.
Caretaker Information Minister John Achakzai said in a news conference that the deadline for foreigners to leave Pakistan is November 1, after which no illegal resident will be allowed in Pakistan.
He said that some people are playing up the issue of foreigners while there is a clear policy that nothing will be said to foreigners who have information and those who disrupt peace and order will be dealt with with iron hands.
John Achakzai said that so far 1000 Afghan families have gone to Afghanistan, the foreigners will be sent across the border in security from the assembly points.
He said that the role of the Special Branch is important in collecting the data of foreigners, 578,000 Afghans in Balochistan have documents while around 250,000 are unregistered Afghans who will be sent back.
He further said that we have to ensure our national security.
