Karachi: Due to the pending selection board, non-payment of evening program teachers for 2 years and financial problems facing the university, the teachers’ strike has entered the third day.

According to the details, teaching was suspended in University of Karachi for the third day while in the consultation meeting held at the staff club, representatives of various teachers’ organizations, student associations and delegations of employees expressed their solidarity in meeting with the Teachers’ Association of University of Karachi (SPLA). demonstrated.

On this occasion, Ghafran Alam, vice president of the Teachers Association, started the meeting and informed the participants that an educational and research center like University of Karachi is on the brink of destruction due to the selection board which has been delayed for many years and other financial problems.

Addressing the meeting, Dr. Shah Ali-ul-Qader, Sindh Fapuasa President, said that the teachers of the entire Sindh are standing with Karachi University.

Earlier, all selected associations and organizations of officers and employees participated and made the selection board of teachers and financial issues a common problem of the entire university.

Apart from this, the Trustee of the Teachers’ Association, Dr. Faizan-ul-Hasan Naqvi, mentioned the seriousness of the situation and the malice behind not having a selection board and entrapment of public information teachers in judicial circles.

He said that for the last four years, the Teachers’ Association has been standing side by side in every struggle of employees and officers related to leave encashment, promotion of employees, pay fixation, retired director and today’s meeting is a manifestation of this unity.

Iftikhar Ahmad, president of Insaafsand Group, urged to continue the protest and to form a joint committee in this regard, Munir Baloch, Trustee of United Officers, Waqar Ali of Employees Ittehad, Ambassador of Vice of Center, Naseer Ahmed of Joint Group, United Officer. K Jalis Ahmed had also agreed on joint struggle.

Apart from this, the representatives of Islami Jamiat Talaba, APMSO, Pakhtun Student Council, Balochistan Student Front and other student organizations also expressed their solidarity with the demands of the teachers.
