Performance reports of major industries in the first 2 months of the current financial year have been released.
According to the released report, July-August large-scale manufacturing increased by 0.50 percent.
The report states that production increased by 2.52 percent last month compared to August 2022, 8.44 percent growth was recorded in August compared to July 2023.
Production of food, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and rubber products increased while apparel, mineral products, fertilizers, machinery, football and petroleum sectors improved, the report said.
According to the report, the production of textiles, tobacco, beverages, leather, wood, paperboard decreased, while the production of iron, steel, metals, computers, electronics and vehicles also fell.
