Karachi: A number of citizens who came for a picnic near a private farmhouse in Gadap Town were robbed.
When contacted, SH Ogdap Zwar Hussain said that on Wednesday night, 20 to 25 young people from Golimar had come to Golimar town for a picnic. On some decision from Aljanat Farm House, 5 armed suspects on 2 motorcycles stopped the coaster at gunpoint and started looting.
He said that 20 to 25 youths were riding in the coaster, unknown armed suspects robbed mobile phones, cash and other belongings from all the youths.
The SHO said that after the incident, the residents of the nearby village had gathered at the spot in large numbers and the armed suspects who ran after them to catch the resident robbers opened fire.
As a result of the firing, 22-year-old Nabil Bakhsh was injured by a bullet in the leg, while the armed suspects managed to escape towards Balochistan.
The SHO said that according to reports, the armed accused were armed with heavy weapons and had come from Balochistan to commit the crime.
He said that no citizen came to the police station to file a report regarding the incident, however, the police have started investigating the incident and the suspects involved in the incident are being traced.
