Former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi opposed immediate jailing of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.
In a conversation with Geo News in Islamabad, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that Imran Khan has done many wrong things, he himself admits his mistakes.
He said that Imran Khan himself has spoken, which has no limit, I am not referring to the things heard, but his confession.
The former prime minister further said that Imran Khan himself used to admit that I put so-and-so in jail and caught so-and-so.
His question was who gave Imran Khan the authority to make a case? In fact, this option becomes revenge.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi also said that in 50 years under the constitution of 73, all the prime ministers except Junejo went to jail, as a matter of principle, you should not have the authority to put any politician in jail.
He said that I am not in favor of putting anyone in jail, the investigation should be completed in the case of Imran Khan and then he should be punished.
The former prime minister said that you should charge Imran Khan with what you want, conduct a trial on a daily basis and complete the matter.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that Maryam Nawaz came, I was not invited to the Islamabad convention, it was a convention in Islamabad, I am from Rawalpindi division.
He said that Maryam Nawaz will come to Rawalpindi Division on February 19 and I will go there.
The former prime minister said that Maryam Nawaz had asked to come on Sunday, but I was at the Lahore Literary Festival that day.
