Karachi;  Armed robbers took government employees hostage in public and looted 71 lakh rupees and escaped

Karachi: On the bridge near Jinnah Hospital, a group of armed robbers took the employees of the Overseas Employees Corporation as hostages and escaped after looting 71 lakh rupees.

According to the details, more than half a dozen armed robbers riding a car and a motorcycle on the bridge near Jinnah Hospital fled after stealing 71 lakh rupees from the employees of the Overseas Employees Corporation.

As soon as the incident was reported, the President Police also reached the spot and got information about the incident.

The police said that the employees of Overseas Employees Corporation were going to the car after withdrawing money from the bank near Jinnah Hospital. As soon as they reached the bridge near Jinnah Hospital, armed robbers riding a Corolla car and 2 motorcycles attacked them at gunpoint. But took them hostage and took out the bag of money in the trunk of the car, which contained 71 lakh rupees.

Regarding the incident, SSP South says that the CCTV footage of the escape route of the robbers is being obtained, it is suspected that the robbers had prior knowledge of taking the money away, but the police are investigating all aspects. Investigation is underway and soon the robbers will be traced.

An application related to the incident of robbery has been submitted in the concerned police station, it is being told that the driver of Overseas Employees Corporation and other 2 persons including deputy messenger were taking the said money somewhere to deposit it.
