The PSX 100 index rose 418 points to close at 48,140.
During the business day, the index remained in the band of 458 points while the highest level of the index was 48 thousand 166.
In the share market, deals of 35 crore shares were settled at 10 billion 76 crore rupees, thus the market capitalization of PSX increased by 52 billion rupees to 7 thousand 89 billion rupees.
