Baloch students missing case;  The state must fulfill the responsibility, Islamabad High Court

Islamabad: The High Court has said that the case of missing Baloch students is a sensitive matter, the state must fulfill its responsibility.

In the case of the implementation of the recommendations of the Baloch Enforced Disappearance Inquiry Commission, the court approved the request for respite from the federal government to submit the implementation report related to the recommendations and said that the federal government is expected to pass a written order in the context of the commission’s recommendations. will

Islamabad High Court Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani heard the case, in which advocate Iman Mazari appeared before the court. The court inquired whether the federal government is interested in implementing the recommendations of the commission or not. Will the federal government see the report on forcibly disappeared Baloch students or will the court decide?

The Additional Attorney General said that the federal government is absolutely interested in it. Three to four stakeholders are involved in it. Justice Mohsin Akhtarkiani remarked that this is a case of violation of human rights, a sensitive matter. Students from Balochistan are missing, it is the responsibility of the federal government to see. Courts have to give decisions. There are many decisions but it is for the federal government as the executive to see.

Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani said that the families of missing persons are still searching for them. Justice Athar Minullah had given a very detailed order in this regard. The state has to fulfill its responsibility to protect the citizens. Let the federal government see, then the document record should be presented before the court.

Iman Mazari Advocate said what action was taken against those who kept visiting educational institutions? Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani said that the federal government will give a report and then the court will see how far the issue has been resolved. The state has to do its job because it has deep implications. The court adjourned the hearing till November 14 while seeking a report from the federal government.
