Islamabad: An intra-court appeal was filed for permission to meet PTI chairman’s family, lawyers and personal physician in jail.
On behalf of Imran Khan, lawyer Sher Afzal Marwat filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court, challenging the September 25 order of the single bench of the Islamabad High Court.
It has been argued in the petition that on September 25, the Islamabad High Court ordered the transfer of PTI Chairman from Attock Jail to Adiala Jail. The court also ordered to provide better class facilities to the Chairman PTI, however, the Islamabad High Court did not issue any order on the request to meet the Chairman PTI’s family, lawyers and physician.
In the application on behalf of lawyer Sher Afzal Marwat, it has been further stated that Monday has been fixed for the meeting of PTI chairman’s wife and sisters. Thursday has been fixed for Imran Khan’s meeting with his lawyers. Jail administration allows only 2 visits in a week. Also, only 4 lawyers are allowed to meet PTI chairman.
The court has been requested to modify the September 25 order of the single bench and allow a meeting with the Chairman PTI. Secretary Home, Chief Commissioner Islamabad and Superintendent Adiala Jail have also been made parties in the petition.
