Islamabad: The trial of the cipher case has officially started. Chairman PTI will be charged on October 17.
Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain Adiala Jail arrived at the court to hear the case. Meanwhile, government prosecutor Zulfiqar Abbas Naqvi, Imran Khan’s lawyer Salman Safdar Butt and Shah Mehmood Qureshi’s daughter and son also reached the Adiala Jail court. On this occasion, the FIA team and the investigating officer also reached Adiala Jail with copies of the challan.
During the hearing of the cipher case in the Adiala Jail Court, copies of the challan were distributed among the lawyers of Chairman PTI while Imran Khan and Shah Mehmood Qureshi also appeared in the court, where the lawyers had a brief meeting with the Chairman PTI in the nets. .
Prosecutor Zulfikar Abbas Naqvi told the court that he could not provide complete copies of the case, however the necessary copies have been provided. Later, the court said that all government witnesses will be summoned along with the charge sheet on October 17. With the court order, the regular trial of the cipher case has started, under which the charges will be filed on October 17.
Later, the FIA team, the prosecutor and the judge, left the prison court.
