The economic team headed by caretaker finance minister Shamshad Akhtar left for Morocco.
According to sources in the Ministry of Finance, the economic team will attend the annual meetings of the World Bank and the IMF, the Finance Secretary and the State Bank Governor are accompanied by the caretaker Finance Minister.
Sources say that meetings of the economic team are scheduled with MDIMF, President World Bank and officials of Asian Development Bank.
The Caretaker Finance Minister will discuss the sale of bonds in the international market along with the economic team, her meetings with the Chinese Finance Minister, Saudi Finance Minister, Moody’s official are also scheduled.
Sources in the Ministry of Finance further say that there will also be discussions on the loan program from MDIMF in the meetings held on the sidelines.
According to the schedule, the annual meetings of World Bank and IMF are starting from October 9.
