Gaza: During the live coverage of Al Jazeera TV, the scene of the Israeli missile attack on the Gaza building was captured on camera.
Israeli warplanes hit a multi-storey building in Gaza, which turned into a pile of rubble in a few moments. At the time of the attack, Al Jazeera reporter Yamuna al-Sayed was broadcasting live from another building nearby.
The Al Jazeera reporter screamed and backed away from the camera at the sound of the missile hitting the building, but soon after she started reporting on the incident.
Yemeni al-Sayed said that it was a missile attack that targeted the Palestine Tower in the middle of Gaza. The anchor in the studio asked him and the team to go to a safe place and catch their breath.
Israel’s air force later said in a statement that its warplanes had hit two high-rise buildings in Gaza where Hamas had a “military structure,” but it was not clear whether the buildings included the Palestine Tower. Or not.
