Islamabad: On the request of Chairman PTI against the jail trial and appointment of a judge in the cipher case, the Islamabad High Court has indicated to give a decision on the case in two to three days.
Chief Justice Aamir Farooq heard the petition of Chairman PTI for early decision. Advocate Sher Afzal Marwat appeared on behalf of Chairman PTI.
Sher Afzal Marwat said that the jail trial of the cipher case has started, but the decision has not yet come on our request, the cipher case is scheduled for jail hearing again on Monday.
Chief Justice Amir Farooq remarked that I will hurry, not on Monday, but I will make a decision in two or three days. One more thing, it has come to the press that you have objection to the transfer of Adiala Jail. Although your own petition was transfer from Attock to Adiala it has been approved.
Talking to Sher Afzal Marwat, the Chief Justice said that why is there so much debate going on from your side in the press? The lawyer said that no such statement was given officially by us.
Chief Justice Aamir Farooq remarked that I was surprised that your own petition was approved then why are you saying this.
Sher Afzal Marwat said that we thought that B class would be given in Adiala Jail but it was not given, on which the Chief Justice remarked that better class would be given.
It should be noted that the decision on the petition against jail trial and judge appointment is already reserved.
