Mumbai: The CBI has started an investigation into allegations of taking bribes for certificates at the Indian Film Censor Board.
Tamil actor Vishal has alleged that he had to pay a bribe of Rs 6.5 lakh for the certificate of the Hindi version of his film ‘Marc Antony’.
According to Indian media, CBI has started an inquiry by registering an FIR against three persons and some unknown persons.
The investigating agency has also conducted raids at four places in Mumbai, including the residences of the persons listed in the FIR.
The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered an FIR against Marilyn Maniga, Jeeja Ramdas, Rajan M and a Censor Board official.
