In the context of fuel price adjustment, electricity has been increased by 1 rupee 71 paise per unit. Nepra has issued a notification.
According to the notification of the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA), the increase has been made in the context of the monthly fuel adjustment for August.
The increase in electricity price will be applied in October bills, the increase will not be applicable to Lifeline and Kelectric customers.
Sources say that consumers will have an additional burden of 31 billion rupees due to the August fuel price adjustment.
