MD CAT Paper leak inquiry complete, retest recommended

Karachi: The investigation committee completed the inquiry report on the MD CAT paper leak issue and submitted it to the Sindh Health Department.

According to the spokesperson of Sindh Health Department, the inquiry report has been received by the Caretaker Health Minister Sindh Dr. Saad Khalid Niaz, the inquiry team has recommended action against the perpetrators of the criminal act and re-organization of the test. Sent to Cabinet.

It should be noted that the Sindh Health Department formed an investigation committee after the complaints in the MD CAT test, the head of the committee was the Special Secretary Health Sindh, while in this committee the Registrar IBA, Additional Secretary Board and Universities Department, Deputy Secretary S.G. A&CD, Director FIA Cybercrime and Deputy Secretary (Tech) were involved.

It should be noted that on September 10, 2023, under the supervision of Jinnah Sindh Medical University, the test was conducted for admission to MBBS and BDS in medical colleges and universities across Sindh. In total, more than 40,000 candidates participated in the test for 1700 open merit seats. More than 10,000 candidates participated in the examination center established in University of Karachi while more than 5,000 candidates participated in Dow University Ojha campus.

The Young Doctors Association had alleged that merit has been killed in MD CAT across Sindh and in this context they also held press conferences and protests.
