Caretaker Federal Minister of Commerce Gohar Ijaz has said that a free trade agreement has been concluded with the Gulf Cooperation Council.
Addressing a news conference in Islamabad, Gohar Ejaz said that the GCC Forum was formed in 2009 in which there are 6 countries. After 14 years, the GCC signed a trade agreement with a country for the first time.
Gohar Ejaz said that Saudi Arabia has played an important role for the agreement. He said that steps have also been taken to supply energy to the industries in winter. The Afghan Transit Agreement has been amended by law.
The caretaker federal minister further said that there will be more stability in the economy of Pakistan in the coming days.
He said that the money of overseas Pakistanis was being used for Afghan transit trade. Money sent by overseas Pakistanis was being transferred out illegally.
Gohar Ejaz said that the illegal transfer of dollars has now stopped due to government measures.
