Karachi: Police officer Ijaz Ahmed Tareen, who was reinstated by the Supreme Court, has announced legal action against those who are running baseless campaigns.
Police officer Ejaz Ahmed Tareen, who was reinstated by the Supreme Court, said in a special conversation with Express that some elements are spreading propaganda against me, and in the past, I have been harmed by making false and baseless allegations.
He said that he will take legal action against those spreading false news.
Talking to Express, he said that he was sacked and raped on the charge of forgery. At that time, Mushtaq Mehr was the IG of Police Sindh. He challenged the decision of the Sindh Services Tribunal Court in the Supreme Court. After several hearings, the court Uzmi restored him to grade sixteen.
He said that now he is striving for his seniority. According to Ejaz Tareen, he started his career as an ASI in Islamabad in 1989, after being promoted as a sub-inspector, he was transferred to the Sindh Police on a permanent basis in 1997.
Ejaz Ahmed said that some people were constantly making false and baseless accusations against him, but now he will take legal action against all such elements. He expressed hope that the new IG Sindh, caretaker Home Minister Sindh and Secretary Home Sindh will do justice to them and redress them.
It should be noted that Ejaz Ahmed Tareen has served as Inspector, DSP and SP in Sindh Police, while Shaheed Benazir Bhutto was also posted in personal security during both periods.
