Karachi: More than 3 maunds of hashish hidden in onions were recovered from a container booked for Qatar.
According to the spokesman of the Anti-Narcotics Force, a major operation was conducted at the Pakistan International Container Terminal in Karachi, in which an attempt to smuggle drugs abroad under the guise of vegetables and fruits was foiled.
ANF recovered more than 3 maunds of hashish from a container booked for Doha. A search revealed 125 kg of hashish hidden in a container filled with onions, expertly hidden in onion membranes.
The container was booked for Qatar by a private company from Karachi. The ANF authorities have started searching for the accused involved in the seizure of drugs.
