Dozens of prisoners arrested during protests against the death of a detained girl in Iran have been released.
It should be noted that a few days ago, Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei announced the pardon of thousands of arrested protesters.
According to Iranian media, high-profile detainees are among those released.
Those who have been released include filmmaker Mohammad Rasolov, French-Iranian researcher Fariba Adeelkha, several prominent social activists and photographer Nosheen Jafari.
Critics say the amnesty and release of the prisoners is an attempt to ease anti-government tensions among the public.
Nationwide protests against the death of a girl in custody in Iran have continued for more than four months.
22-year-old Mehsa Amini, who was arrested for violating the headscarf laws in Iran in September last year, died in police custody.
