King Khan Shahrukh once said about Yash Chopra, the legendary figure of Bollywood, whose birthday is celebrated on September 27, that Yash Chopra created his career.
Shah Rukh Khan had said in an interview in the past that I felt that I was not a very attractive person and thought that I would not be able to play the role of a lover boy, but Yash ji kept telling me this. That if I don’t play the role of a boy in love on screen, nothing will happen and the career will not take off.
After which I did what he said and never looked back, he added. He single-handedly made my career, I am whatever I am today because of Yash Chopra, I am thankful to him.
It should be noted that Shah Rukh Khan said these things in his speech at the time of receiving the National Yash Chopra Memorial Award. Shah Rukh Khan and Yash Chopra have done famous projects together including Dil Tu Pagal Hai and Dhar.
