A request to increase the cost of electricity by Rs 1 83 paise per unit through fuel price adjustment has been submitted to Nepra.
The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) will today hear the Central Power Purchasing Agency’s (CPPA) fuel adjustment request for August.
According to the request, 15 billion 47 crore units of electricity were supplied to the DISCOs in August.
If the application is approved, the burden on consumers will be more than 33 billion rupees.
It should be noted that the increase in electricity price will not be applicable to K-Electric customers.
