Quetta: 6 government doctors were dismissed for neglecting their duties.
In a meeting presided over by Chief Secretary Balochistan Abdul Aziz, Secretary Health said in a briefing on departmental affairs that show cause notices have also been issued to 40 doctors who practice privately instead of performing official duties, while disciplinary action has been initiated against 57 doctors. .
During the meeting, the health secretary presented the draft policy regarding post-graduate doctors, the meeting also discussed giving one to two years of training to post-graduate doctors posted in difficult areas.
Addressing the meeting, the Chief Secretary said that there will be no compromise on the provision of health services, action should be continued against the doctors who are guilty of negligence in the performance of duties.
The Chief Secretary directed that extra allowance should be given to post graduate doctors on duty in remote areas.
