The total death toll from the February 6 earthquake in Turkey and Syria has reached 37,774. A 26-year-old woman was pulled alive from the rubble 201 hours after the earthquake in the Turkish province of Hatay.
According to the Arab media from Ankara, 31 thousand 974 deaths have occurred in Turkey and more than 5 thousand 800 in Syria due to the earthquake.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that more than 8,000 people have been rescued alive from the rubble in Turkey so far. He also thanked all the countries for providing assistance to the earthquake victims.
On the other hand, the Syrian government has allowed the opening of two more border crossings from Turkey for UN aid.
According to UN estimates, 5.3 million people have been displaced by the earthquake in Syria.
The United Nations says that 9 million earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria are in urgent need of food due to severe cold.
