A 2-day meeting of NATO defense ministers will begin today in Brussels, in which all member states will participate.
Countries that have submitted applications for NATO membership are also participating in this meeting.
Speaking before the meeting, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that the European Union stands by its member.
He expressed sympathy with the Turkish people over the earthquake in Turkey and other countries in the region.

Yen Stoltenberg said that we are trying hard to provide him with the weapons that have been promised to him.
He said that the problem is not only the supply of tanks, armored vehicles and ships but also ammunition, fuel and spare parts to continue the resistance.
The Secretary General of NATO said that the aggression against Ukraine has continued since 2014, but the defense of Ukraine today is much better than it was in 2023.
It should be noted that while addressing the pre-ministerial press conference at the NATO headquarters on Monday, Jen Stoltenberg said that the war in Ukraine is using too much ammunition and this war is depleting the stockpiles of the allies.
He said that Ukraine’s current rate of ammunition expenditure is many times higher than our production rate, putting pressure on our defense industries.
