Karachi: A police officer was injured in the firing of bandits in Shahr Quaid, while one bandit was killed and his accomplice escaped injured in the alleged encounter.
Pakistan Bazar Police had an alleged encounter in Orangi Town Sector 11.15, in which a robber was killed in the exchange of fire while his accomplice escaped with injuries. A police officer was slightly injured in the firing by the robbers.
The injured bandit was being taken to the hospital for medical help in a police encounter near Al Faizan marriage hall in Rehmat Chowk. He died on the way. According to the police, the dead bandit was identified as 30-year-old Farhan son of Aslam. .
A companion of the accused who was killed in the exchange of fire was also injured, but he managed to escape from the spot. During the encounter, an official was slightly injured by the firing of the accused who was taken to a private hospital for medical assistance.
A pistol with ammunition, a stolen mobile phone, cash and a motorcycle were recovered from the dead robber, while the body has been kept in a mortuary to search for his heirs.
