Secretary General of Pakistan Association of Large Steel Producers, Wajid Bukhari, says that due to the high cost of electricity, Saria will become very expensive.
Secretary General Wajid Bukhari has said in his statement that Saria will become expensive from 2 lakh 88 thousand rupees per ton.
He said that as factories making saria are closing down, construction projects will be affected.
Wajid Bukhari said that instead of paying billions of rupees to IPPs, relief should be given to industries.
He said that the IPPs contracts are hurting the economy.
Wajid Bukhari said that people will have to bear the burden of more than 2 trillion rupees due to power outage.
He said that electricity rates in Pakistan are more than double than neighboring countries.
