Islamabad High Court orders transfer of Chairman PTI to Adiala Jail

Islamabad: The High Court ordered PTI Chairman Imran Khan to be transferred to Adiala Jail.

Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court Aamir Farooq heard the transfer request of Imran Khan from Attock Jail to Adiala Jail. During the hearing, the Chief Justice remarked that the status of PTI chairman’s sentence has changed. All the under-trial prisoners of Islamabad are in Adiala Jail.

The Chief Justice inquired why PTI Chairman has been kept at Attock. Why not Adiala Jail? . The original order was to keep him in Adiala Jail in Tosha Khana. If you send him to Rahim Yar Khan jail tomorrow, will you do a jail trial there?

The Additional Attorney General told the court that when PTI Chairman was arrested in the cipher case, the court order was from Attock Jail, to which the Chief Justice said that because he was in Attock Jail at that time, that is why the judge gave the order. .

The Chief Justice remarked that according to the law, the under-trial prisoner of Islamabad should be in Adiala Jail. Shift Chairman PTI to Adiala Jail.

During the hearing, lawyer Sher Afzal Marwat advocate requested that the Chairman PTI is a sportsman, to be provided with an exercise machine, on which the Chief Justice said that it was told that AB and C classes have been completed in the jail now. Now they have normal and better class in jail, they deserve better class. They should get what they are entitled to as per the jail rules. There should not be any loss of their rights.

The lawyer requested the court to issue a written order to transfer Chairman PTI from Attock Jail to Adiala Jail, on which Chief Justice Amir Farooq remarked that efforts will be made to issue a written order to transfer Adiala Jail today. .

Later, Islamabad High Court ordered PTI Chairman to be transferred to Adiala Jail. The court decided to transfer him to jail on the request of Chairman PTI, Chief Justice Amir Farooq will issue a written decision in this regard.
