It has been criticized by the experts in the practical life of the films which are now loved in India.
According to Indian media, Bombay High Court Justice Gautam Patel says that films like Singham send a dangerous message.
While addressing the event organized by the Indian Police, he also questioned people’s impatience with the process of law.
Bombay High Court Justice Gautam Patel said the concept of ‘hero police’ dispensing instant justice without due regard for due process of law as depicted in popular and successful films like ‘Singham’ sends a very harmful message.
He said that in movies the police are shown against these judges and often the judges are shown as timid and badly dressed. In movies, the police accuse the courts of letting the guilty go, and the hero policeman single-handedly dispenses justice.
Justice Gautam Patel further said that in the film ‘Singham’, especially in the climax scene, the entire police force is shown in action against the politician which shows that justice has now been served.
The Indian judge said that but I ask if it is so, we should think how dangerous this message is, why this impatience? If this process is abandoned in favor of a shortcut, then we eliminate the rule of law.
