The mud-pow policy will not work

Pakistan Muslim League (N) leader Mian Nawaz Sharif has finally broken his political silence. In his address to a high-level consultative meeting of the PML-N, he has clearly said that there will be no mud-paw policy.

Which means that Mian Nawaz Sharif is not in a forgiving and conciliatory mood. In his opinion, it is not time to leave behind what happened, but it is time to take account of it.

He has told his colleagues not only the names of PML-N but also the names of those who, in his opinion, have brought Pakistan to where it is today. From this first speech of Nawaz Sharif, it seems that he is still standing where he was standing on the occasion of Gujranwala speech. There has been no change in his thinking and policy.

It is clear from Nawaz Sharif’s speech that he has a clear political agenda. And they are returning home with a political agenda. To understand this agenda, we need to know what are the political goals of Nawaz Sharif.

Nawaz Sharif has mentioned the names of General Bajwa and General Faiz. He has said that these two characters are mainly responsible for the conditions that Pakistan is suffering from today. Now the question is that if this time the mud policy will not work, then how will they be held accountable. This is a difficult question to answer.

The objective conditions of Pakistan are not yet ready for any such accountability. Therefore, Nawaz Sharif can convict these two characters in the people’s court during his election campaign, but I don’t think it is possible to hold them accountable in practice. But by saying this, Nawaz Sharif has proved wrong the opinion of all his friends, according to whom there has been a change in Nawaz Sharif’s thinking.

Nawaz Sharif has taken the matter forward this time. They have taken the names of the main characters. According to him, even his facilitators cannot be forgiven there. In this regard, Mian Nawaz Sharif has taken the big names of the judiciary for the first time this time.

He has also taken the names of former Chief Justice Saqib Nisar, Asif Saeed Khosa and other judges of the Panama Bench. He has also included them among the facilitators of General Bajwa and General Faiz.

The new Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Qazi Faiz Isa, has admitted during the first full court hearing that Pakistan’s judiciary has made many wrong decisions in the past. He has bluntly said that he will not defend these decisions but believes them to be wrong.

I hope Qazi Faiz Isa would have included the Panama judgment in his list. Is the Supreme Court of Pakistan ready to correct the Panama decision? By the way, there is no practice in the Supreme Court of Pakistan to correct wrong decisions. Rather, there is a tendency to stick to wrong decisions.

You see, PPP sent Zulfikar Bhutto’s reference during its regime. The sole purpose of this reference was to determine the accuracy of history that the decision to execute Zulfiqar Bhutto was wrong. But the Supreme Court has not considered it appropriate to hear this reference till date. Although Bhutto won’t survive this. But the date will be correct.

In such a situation, when Nawaz Sharif is alive, will the Supreme Court admit its mistake regarding Panama. Today Nawaz Sharif’s opponents also believe that Nawaz Sharif has been abused in the Panama case. Whether there will be any change in the Supreme Court’s policy this time is a big question.

Therefore, Nawaz Sharif can campaign against these judges in the people’s court. I don’t think the current leadership of the judiciary would have any objection to it.

Mian Nawaz Sharif has tried an action of Article 6 against General Musharraf, the results are also in front. But is any such action possible this time? I think Nawaz Sharif will first smooth the public opinion this time. The rest will be seen later. First, they will try to make the people of Pakistan recognize them and their role. The rest will be seen later.

This can be a good strategy. After public pressure, we will see what to do next. If people accept Nawaz Sharif’s words, then the next steps can be easy.

During Musharraf’s time, it was assumed that the people were together. Hence no public campaign was launched. So this time the change in strategy is obvious. See what happens next. Nawaz Sharif is ready to fight a war again. Will they win this time?
