The Lahore High Court gave the IG Punjab a deadline to recover journalist Imran Riaz.
The Chief Justice High Court heard the request of Imran Riaz’s father for his recovery.
The Chief Justice inquired that the IG sir should tell what progress has been made.
IG Punjab replied that the joint working group meeting has been held and the meeting will be held again this Friday, the court should give us respite, there will be more positive progress, meetings are being held with his father and lawyers, working in the light of your orders. The group was formed, with the intelligence chief scheduled to meet on Friday.

Father Imran Riaz’s lawyer said that he should be given the last 24 hours.
The court adjourned the hearing till September 26, giving the IG Punjab a deadline to recover Imran Riaz.
