Lahore: NAB references against Shahbaz Sharif and other politicians have not yet been sent to the accountability courts of Lahore, the accountability courts of Lahore are still waiting for important political cases.
According to Express News, the Supreme Court has invalidated some NAB amendments, after which corruption cases of less than 50 crores will also come under the purview of NAB. Despite the clear orders of the Supreme Court in this regard, important cases of Lahore could not be sent to the accountability courts.
The Ramzan Sugar Mills reference against former Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shehbaz has not yet come to the court, the Paragon reference against former minister Khawaja Saad Rafique and his brother Salman Rafique is also to come to the court again, Speaker Punjab Assembly. The reference of illegal contracts of mineral reserves in Chiniot against Sabtain Khan and others was also to be restored.
Similarly, the reference of illegal recruitment in Punjab University against former Vice Chancellor Dr. Mujahid Kamran and others was to be restored, the Punjab Youth Festival reference against former DG Sports Usman Anwar was also to be restored.
