The United Arab Emirates has stopped the import of Pakistani fresh meat by sea and has also issued an order in this regard.
According to sources, fungus was found in chicken meat from a container of a company in Karachi.
The UAE authorities said in the decree issued in this regard that the import ban includes chicken meat, the ban will be applied from October 10.
In this regard, Pakistani exporters say that the monthly export of Pakistani meat by sea was 1 crore 2 million dollars.
According to exporters, the cost of exporting by ship is high, there are quality challenges in fresh meat or food around the world.
The exporters have appealed that the Pakistani government should take up this issue with the UAE.
