Earned 150 rupees since morning and issued a challan of 520 rupees, rickshaw driver
In front of the Karachi Press Club, a rickshaw driver cried while protesting against the forced challan of the traffic police.
The driver of the rickshaw registration number D 16966 said that he was again issued a challan of 520 by the traffic police in Saddar, whereas he had submitted the challan a day ago.
He said that he is challaned 2 to 3 times a week, earned 150 rupees since morning, half a day has passed, tell me, I have challaned again for 520 rupees, sometimes for permit, sometimes challaned in the name of fitness. On his way, the driver said that there is a rental house.
He said that there is electricity and gas bill. If I deposit all the earnings of the day in the challan, where will I feed the children? Traffic police have mercy on me.
SSP Traffic paid the challan
SSP Traffic District City Asif Ali Jakhrani, taking notice of the viral video of the rickshaw driver outside the press club, contacted the rickshaw driver and called him to his office and sought information from him.
SSP Traffic City paid the challan considering the financial condition of the rickshaw driver while also directing the rickshaw driver to cooperate with the traffic police and obey the traffic rules.
