Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Bench of the Lahore High Court sought the response of the IG, CPO and Deputy Commissioner on the arrest of Sheikh Rasheed.
While hearing the petition against the arrest of former Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed’s nephew and his employee, Justice Sadaqat Ali Khan, senior judge of the Rawalpindi Bench of the Lahore High Court, sought answers from the IG, RPO, CPO and Deputy Commissioner. .
During the hearing, the lawyer told the court that 2 days have passed, Sheikh Rasheed was arrested from home and has not been produced in any court yet. There is no case against former interior minister in Punjab and Islamabad, this detention is illegal. This is not an arrest but a kidnapping. It should be ordered to be produced in court immediately.
The court remarked that let the answer come, then take action. The court also issued a notice to the Assistant Advocate General in connection with the case.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case on September 22, seeking a detailed response.
