Srinagar: An Indian Army officer opened fire on his colleagues in the Bandipora military camp of Occupied Kashmir, as a result of which one officer was killed and another seriously injured.

According to Indian media, these officers were shifted to the nearby military hospital where one officer was confirmed dead while the condition of one is said to be critical.

Eyewitnesses say that the officers and personnel started running away due to the sound of firing in the Indian military camp. He thought that someone might have attacked him from outside, but when he reached the scene, he found two officials covered in blood.

The police say that the two officers were also shot by their fellow officer and the killing instrument is also an official rifle.

The officer who opened fire was arrested, but the identity of any of the officers killed, injured and arrested in the incident was not disclosed.

The pro-Modi police in Occupied Kashmir tried unsuccessfully to cover up the incident by calling it an accidental incident and told the media that the officer was accidentally shot.

It should be remembered that even before this, due to mental stress and anger, incidents of fighting and firing among the personnel are common in the Indian military camp.

At the beginning of this year, 4 officials were killed in one such incident.
