Karachi: In a fortnight, the price of tea leaf increased by Rs.500.
Due to about 250 containers arriving from late December 2022 to early January getting stuck at the port, the price of open tea leaves before Ramadan has increased from Rs 1,100 to Rs 1600 per kg in the last 15 days. While the price of tea in Ramadan can reach 2500 rupees per kg.
The price of 170 gram granulated and cardamom packs has been increased from Rs 290 to Rs 320 and Rs 350, similarly the price of 900 and 420 gram packs has now been increased to Rs 1,480 and 720 against Rs 1,350 and 550.
