Sources claimed that on identifying the accused, other law enforcement agencies including FIA conducted a raid in Rawalpindi’s Jhelum area where millions of dollars, pounds and riyals and crores of Pakistani rupees were recovered from H&H and Hameed Currency Exchange. 8 people were arrested.

The raid was led by FIA Deputy Director Jair Nasrani and Sub-Inspector Gohar Shah and others. Sources say that so far more than forty crore rupees worth of domestic and foreign currency have been recovered from the digital locker, while it has been revealed that billions of rupees of domestic and foreign currency have been hidden in the plaza.

According to sources, money has been hidden in digital safes on walls and floors in the plaza, if more digital safes are opened, the amount will be estimated.

On the other hand, the owner of the plaza and money also arrived with legal documents and tried to satisfy the raiding team. After which the cutters ordered to cut the digital safe were switched back.

According to reports, there has been a bitter dispute between the FIA ​​and the owner of the mall over the money coming out of the Rawalpindi private mall plaza. The plaza owner said that the recovered money should be kept here, while the FIA ​​officials said that we will take the money with us.

The FIA ​​later called the police for assistance.
