Islamabad: Justice Qazi Faiz Isa will take oath as the 29th Chief Justice of Pakistan today.
Justice Umar Atta Bandial retired from the post of Chief Justice of Pakistan at midnight, after which Justice Qazi Faiz Isa will take oath as the new Chief Justice today.
According to the details, the swearing-in ceremony of the Chief Justice will be held at 11 o’clock in the President’s House where the President of the State, Dr. Arif Alvi, will administer the oath to the newly elected Chief Justice, Justice Qazi Faiz Isa.
The caretaker prime minister, cabinet members, service chiefs, judges and other officials including lawyers will participate in the swearing-in ceremony.

Earlier, Justice Umar Atta Bandial gave an emotional address to the employees and officers of the Supreme Court and described himself as the setting sun.
