Karachi: Rangers conducted an operation against hoarders in Baldia Town on a tip-off and recovered sugar worth more than one billion rupees.
According to details, Pakistan Rangers Sindh has started a crackdown against those hoarding sugar and other grains.
According to the statement issued by the Rangers, a total of 140,000 sacks of sugar have been recovered from two different warehouses located on Hub River Road, Baldia Town, Islamnagar, Karachi.
According to the spokesman, the value of the exported sugar is more than one billion rupees, the stored sugar was allegedly to be sent to Afghanistan via Balochistan, the exported sugar was handed over to the civil administration for further legal action.
According to sources, a crackdown is also planned against hoarders in Korangi, where large quantities of flour and sugar are expected to be exported.
