Islamabad: The internal differences of the Islamabad High Court Bar intensified on the issue of the petition filed by the High Court Bar in the Supreme Court to hold elections in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa within 90 days.
After disagreements between High Court Bar President Shoaib Shaheen and Secretary Saad Rajput, the Executive Committee passed a resolution in favor of the President and the petition. The secretary of the bar announced that he was not related to the petition filed by the President of the Islamabad High Court Bar.
According to the press release issued by Joint Secretary Bar Sohail Rasheed, it is said in the verdict that President Shoaib Shaheen filed a petition in the Supreme Court on behalf of the High Court Bar, the constitutional petition has been filed for the supremacy of the Constitution and the rule of law. .
Appreciating the efforts of President Bar Shoaib Shaheen for the supremacy of the Constitution, the Executive Committee reiterates its decision in favor of the constitutional petition, the resolution said.
It should be noted that President High Court Bar Shoaib Shaheen had filed a petition in the Supreme Court on behalf of the bar two days ago, in which the Supreme Court has been requested to conduct the elections in Punjab and KP within 90 days. A declaration of indifference to the petition was made by the Secretary High Court Bar.
