Karachi: The FIA Anti-Corruption Circle arrested an accused after recovering Rs 32 lakh from a company called Tech Zone involved in the reference handi under the guise of buying and selling mobile phones.
FIA anti-corruption took action in Zamzam mobile market on the instructions of Deputy Director Javed Baloch, during which Shah Rukh, the cashier of the company was arrested.
Supply receipts of illegally imported mobile phones worth over Rs 24 crore were also recovered.
Among the other exported items, 14 new and old iPhones of three different types, 2 iPads and 2 smart watches were recovered, while the value of the exported mobile phones and other items is more than 38 lakh rupees.
Further action is underway by registering a case against the company and the accused.
