London: After a long survey, experts have said that fasting for just two minutes after each meal can have extraordinary success in reducing blood sugar levels.

According to scientists, the people of Spain and other countries around the Mediterranean are used to walking after every meal and diabetes has been seen very rarely. The process also involves the Mediterranean diet, which is becoming increasingly popular. But it is a fact that walking is a common habit of these nations.

According to a 2022 research survey in the journal Sports Medicine, walking after every meal is very important. It even plays a very important role in controlling blood sugar. According to research, if the habit of walking after every meal is adopted, blood sugar can be reduced by 9.51% compared to those who do not walk. However, if used several times a day, it can reduce sugar by 17%.

Also, if you have been sitting for a long time, get up and take a walk as this can also help in warding off diabetes. Seven studies have been reviewed (meta-analysed) in the journal. It says that if you walk for 2 to 5 minutes several times a day, it will be a brisk walk of up to half an hour every day.

The report also states that if you work while sitting for a long time, it is important to do the work while standing for a while. We know that blood sugar levels rise between 30 and 90 minutes after eating, and this is the time to prioritize walking and stay safe from diabetes.

However, if you walk 150 minutes a week, the risk of diabetes can be reduced by 33%.
