Peshawar: An officer was martyred in a bomb blast on FC’s vehicle near Machni Gate Police Station Warsk Road Ring Road Prime Hospital.
According to SP Warsak Arshad Khan, the FC vehicle was targeted in the blast, the nature of which is being ascertained, 5 Frontier Corps personnel and 3 civilians were injured due to the blast.
SP Versik says that apparently the blast is an IED but the nature of the blast will be clarified from the BDU report, further investigation is underway regarding the incident. Two vehicles of Mohmand Rifles were passing which have been targeted.
According to the hospital spokesperson, 7 people were injured due to the bomb blast and were initially shifted to Prime Hospital, while now the rescue team will transfer 1122 injured to Lady Reading Hospital for further treatment.
4 injured in the blast were brought to Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar and medical aid has been provided to the four injured, the condition of the injured is out of danger.
